Register as a creditor in a bankruptcy or liquidation
Register as a creditor if a person or company owes you money and the court issues them with a bankruptcy or winding-up order.
When you register, you바카라 사이트™ll be added to the list of creditors (people who are owed money). You바카라 사이트™re not guaranteed any payment, but you바카라 사이트™ll be:
- kept informed about the case
- allowed to vote on decisions at any creditors바카라 사이트™ meetings

Contact the person who바카라 사이트™s handling the case and tell them you바카라 사이트™re owed money.
You can find their details on either:
- the Individual Insolvency Register if it바카라 사이트™s an individual bankruptcy
- the if it바카라 사이트™s a company liquidation
If you바카라 사이트™re owed more than £1,000 you바카라 사이트™ll need to submit a 바카라 사이트˜Proof of Debt바카라 사이트™ form.
If you바카라 사이트™re owed £1,000 or less, you need to give the person handling your case your contact details and tell them how much you바카라 사이트™re owed.
Who handles the case
Your case will usually be handled by a court official who deals with bankruptcies and liquidations, known as an 바카라 사이트˜official receiver바카라 사이트™.
They might hand the case over to an insolvency practitioner - a lawyer or accountant who specialises in debt recovery.
The official receiver or insolvency practitioner might also be called:
- the 바카라 사이트™trustee바카라 사이트™ in a bankruptcy
- the 바카라 사이트˜liquidator바카라 사이트™ in a company liquidation
