1. Overview

You need to tell DVLA about some medical conditions as they can affect your driving.

You can be fined up to 拢1,000 if you do not tell DVLA about a medical condition that affects your driving.

You can voluntarily give up your licence. You might choose to do this if, for example:

  • your doctor tells you to stop driving for 3 months or more
  • your medical condition affects your ability to drive safely and lasts for 3 months or more
  • you do not meet the required standards for driving because of your medical condition

If you have a medical condition that affects your driving and do not voluntarily give up your licence, you must inform DVLA. They will decide if you can continue holding a driving licence.

If you have a bus, lorry or coach licence

You cannot use the online service to check for your condition or report it to DVLA.

You can use this service to search for your health condition and find out how to report it if you live in Great Britain.

Some conditions can be reported in the service, and others need to be reported by printing off and sending a paper form.

This service is also available in Welsh (Cymraeg).

If you report your condition to DVLA through the service, you might need to give your GP or consultant바카라 사이트檚 name and address.

You바카라 사이트檒l have one hour to add information once you start. You cannot save and return to your application later.

You can only use this service if you have a car or motorcycle licence. If you have a bus, lorry or coach licence, check the A to Z list for your condition instead.
