The latest release of these statistics can be found in the collection of Personal Independence Payment statistics.
These official statistics include data up to 31 October 2021 for:
- caseloads (cases with entitlement)
- registrations, clearances and awards
- award reviews and changes of circumstance (experimental)
- award rates
- award types and review periods (experimental)
- mandatory reconsiderations
- average clearance times and average outstanding times
- mandatory reconsideration clearance times
- customer journey statistics (experimental) tracking initial decisions following a PIP assessment through to mandatory reconsideration and appeal
In addition, they contain annually updated statistics giving Disability Living Allowance (DLA) reassessment comparison of outcomes including, for the first time, outcomes for child DLA claimants who reach 16 years of age and are invited to claim PIP.
Changes in this release
Award Review statistics are now available via Stat-Xplore rather than as static tables, as part of our overall strategy to make underlying data available on Stat-Xplore.
Single Year age breakdowns have been extended across all PIP tables on Stat-Xplore to age 89, to be consistent with DLA reporting. Claimants aged 90 or above appear in a category called 바카라 사이트�90 or over바카라 사이트�. Previously, single year ages were reported up to age 69 with a 바카라 사이트�70 or over바카라 사이트� category.
Labelling of reassessment type in Stat-Xplore has been amended to present clearer classification of cases as 바카라 사이트�DLA Reassessment바카라 사이트� and 바카라 사이트淣ew Claim바카라 사이트� rather than 바카라 사이트淩eassessment바카라 사이트� and 바카라 사이트淣ot Reassessment바카라 사이트�, to improve clarity and be consistent with the language used elsewhere. No change has been made to the underlying definition or methodology.
바카라 사이트淐oronavirus COVID-19바카라 사이트� was added to low level disability breakdowns in June 2021 and for completeness has now been added to the Annual 바카라 사이트�DLA to PIP Reassessment바카라 사이트� and 바카라 사이트淐hild DLA to PIP Reassessment바카라 사이트� series.
Expected changes in future releases
From the March 2022 release, static tables containing award rates and assessment award rates will no longer be produced. Users can obtain these figures for themselves by using Stat-Xplore to retrieve count data for total clearances, awards and assessments, and performing basic percentage rate calculations. Guidance about this will be provided.
