Triennial review of the Traffic Commissioners

A triennial review of the Traffic Commissioners is launching.

I am today (27 March 2014) announcing the start of a review of the Traffic Commissioners. Triennial reviews are part of the government바카라 사이트檚 commitment to ensuring that non-departmental public bodies continue to have regular independent challenge, including to their objectives and governance.

In the case of the Traffic Commissioners the review will also contribute to delivering the government바카라 사이트檚 response, published last October to the Transport Select Committee바카라 사이트檚 inquiry into the work of the Vehicle and Operating Standards Agency (which has since become part of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency). I have sought and considered stakeholder views about the review바카라 사이트檚 coverage.

This is planned to be an in-depth review of the Traffic Commissioners, involving an independent consultant. I will inform the House of the outcome of the review when it is completed.
