This standard rules permit allows you to operate a waste facility transferring and treating a range of non-hazardous wastes. These rules also allow storage of asbestos, batteries, cable and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
You can apply for this standard rules permit if:听

you can manage the potential risks as set out in the generic risk assessment听
The charges for applying for this standard rules permit are:听

拢3,926 for a new standard rules permit application听

拢1,178 for a minor variation to the permit听

拢2,536 to surrender the permit听
There is also an annual subsistence charge of 拢4,169 for the standard rules permit.听

You must usually apply within 3 months of the date the standard rules was published (18 December 2024). We have extended this to 27 June 2025.
