Details

This technical specification and xml schema are for software suppliers producing and importing common transfer files (CTF) in school and local authority management information systems (MIS).

Schools and local authorities use the CTF to send pupil data when a pupil transfers from one school to another. The CTF 24 will be valid for use from September 2024.

You should also refer to the common basic data set. This defines common data items that:

  • schools and local authorities use in MIS
  • we use in our data collections

Local authorities and schools can use the guide for the common transfer file 20 to help them use the CTF��24.
