Mark Sweeney

Biography

Mark has been Director General, Cabinet Secretariat in the Cabinet Office since November 4 2019, responsible for advising the Prime Minister and Cabinet on domestic policy issues and the government바카라 사이트™s legislative programme. He is also responsible for the Prime Minister바카라 사이트™s Implementation Unit and the Equalities Hub. 

Mark was previously Director General, Policy, Communications and Analysis Group at the Ministry of Justice. 

From 2015-2017 Mark worked at Ofcom, the UK바카라 사이트™s independent telecommunications and broadcasting regulator.

Mark바카라 사이트™s previous roles in 바카라 사이트 include Constitution Director at the Cabinet Office, responsible for policy on elections and referendums, the UK바카라 사이트™s constitutional settlement and devolution; Director for Law, Rights and International at the Ministry of Justice; and Principal Private Secretary to Ken Clarke as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. He has also worked in the Political Directorate in the Northern Ireland Office, and the Cabinet Secretariat for EU issues.
