Ben Myers
Biography
Ben took up his appointment as the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Israel in January 2023.
He joined the Diplomatic Service in 2009 following an undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge and experiences in the private sector and UN. In London, he has worked in the South Asia Directorate 바카라 사이트“ with a focus on Pakistan; in the Economics Unit 바카라 사이트“ working on Turkey and Eastern Europe; and in Counter Terrorism Department 바카라 사이트“ with a focus on Somalia.
Ben has served overseas as Head of the Public and Political Affairs Section at the British Embassy in Mexico (2017 to 2022), ending the tour as Acting Deputy Head of Mission. Previously, he was Regional Director of Economic Affairs for Central America at the British Embassy in Panama (2012 to 2015).

The Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas Embassy or High Commission.
