Councils will receive additional聽government聽support to prevent vulnerable people becoming聽homeless, the Communities Secretary has announced.
拢310 million will바카라 사이트痓e targeted at areas with high numbers of homeless people,바카라 사이트痶hose바카라 사이트痑t바카라 사이트痳isk of homelessness, or바카라 사이트痶hose바카라 사이트痩iving in temporary accommodation 바카라 사이트�- helping바카라 사이트痶hem to rebuild their lives.
The funding represents a 拢47 million increase on this year and can be used to offer financial support바카라 사이트痜or바카라 사이트痯eople바카라 사이트痶o바카라 사이트痜ind a new home,바카라 사이트痶o work바카라 사이트痺ith landlords to prevent evictions, or to provide temporary accommodation to ensure families바카라 사이트痟ave바카라 사이트痑 roof over their head.
This underlines the government바카라 사이트檚 commitment to fully enforcing the Homelessness Reduction Act聽by ensuring聽councils have the funding they need to prevent homelessness聽and help more people聽sooner.
The funding is바카라 사이트痯art of바카라 사이트痮verall바카라 사이트痠nvestment바카라 사이트痮f more than바카라 사이트�750 million to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping next聽year.
And this builds on聽the聽ongoing바카라 사이트�바카라 사이트楨veryone In바카라 사이트� campaign, which聽is protecting thousands of lives during the pandemic by housing rough sleepers.바카라 사이트疊y September, it had supported over 29,000 vulnerable people, with two-thirds now moved into settled accommodation.
To바카라 사이트痯rovide further help for those바카라 사이트痑t risk of homelessness,바카라 사이트痶he government has바카라 사이트痑lso바카라 사이트痚nsured바카라 사이트痶here is no바카라 사이트痓ailiff enforcement action바카라 사이트痮ver the Christmas period바카라 사이트痑part from in the most serious cases.바카라 사이트疶his builds on protections announced earlier this year, including six-month notice periods聽and new court rules meaning judges will prioritise the most serious of cases.

Today I am announcing 拢310 million to help councils protect those at risk of바카라 사이트痟omelessness바카라 사이트痠n the year ahead. We have a moral duty to help some of the most바카라 사이트痸ulnerable바카라 사이트痯eople in our society rebuild their lives and look forward to a brighter future, and this funding will help us to realise that ambition.

This new funding바카라 사이트痺ill play a vital role in helping councils provide better support to prevent people from becoming homeless in the first place바카라 사이트痑s we look to바카라 사이트痚nd바카라 사이트痳ough sleeping once and for all.
The바카라 사이트疕omelessness Reduction Act聽2017 ensures people at risk of becoming homeless get help more quickly, with councils receiving funding to support them in these duties.
Since this came into force, over 270,000 households have had their homelessness successfully prevented or relieved through securing accommodation for more than six months.
This바카라 사이트痠nvestment바카라 사이트痓uilds on more than 拢700 million government is聽spending聽on homelessness and rough sleeping聽this year.聽This has included聽the 拢15 million 바카라 사이트楶rotect Programme바카라 사이트� scheme for councils which required extra support during the national restrictions and throughout winter to provide accommodation for rough sleepers.

We have also allocated 拢91.5 million to 274 councils in September to fund바카라 사이트痠mmediate support바카라 사이트痑nd interim accommodation for vulnerable people, as well as the 拢10 million Cold바카라 사이트疻eather Fund for councils to help to keep rough sleepers safe this winter.

The department has today published 2 evaluation reports carried out by independent researchers on the Housing First pilots in Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region and the West Midlands.
The first report presents findings from research in the first year of the Housing First pilot, prior to the pandemic, which shows securing commitment at the highest level across all partners is essential for effective implementation and that relationships also need to be established with housing providers as early as possible.
The second report covers the impact of Covid-19 on the pilots and shows the organisation has worked hard to establish safe approaches to supporting clients and staff by introducing remote communications and providing enhanced emotional and wellbeing support.
