Animal medicines seizure notice issued to Anglia Veterinary Services, Cambridgeshire
A consignment of inappropriately stored and expired medicines has been seized from Anglia Veterinary Services, Cambridgeshire.

During a routine premises inspection a VMD inspector identified and consequently seized the following products:
- 1 x bottle Surolan 15 ml drops
- 1 x bottle Surolan 30 ml drops
- 1 x box Rapidexon 50 ml
- 1 x box Mysoline 100 tablets
- 1 x box Marbocyl 10% 50 ml
- 1 x box Synulox powder for oral suspension 50 mg/ml
- 1 x bottle Drontal Oral Suspension 50 ml
- 1 x bottle Lincoject 10% 100 ml
- 1 x box Finadyne 50 mg/ml
- 1 x bottle Canaural 25 ml drops
- 1.5 strips Metrobactin 500 mg
- 2 x boxes Prednisolone 5 mg
- 2 x boxes Isaderm 5 mg +1 mg gel
- 2 x boxes Neovit B Complex 100 ml
- 2 x boxes Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate
- 1 x tub Rimadyl 100 mg 100 tablets
- 1 x box of Equip EHV Vaccines vials
- 2 x bottles Malaseb 250 ml
- 3 x boxes Chloramphenicol 0.5% antibiotic 10 ml drops
- 1 x bottles Lethobarb bottle 100 ml
- 3 x bottles Pentoject 250 ml
- 1 x bottle DMSO 90 100 ml
- 1 x bottle Ventipulmin 50 ml
- 1 x bottle Rompun 2% 25 ml
- 1 x bottle Tetanus Antitoxin 50 ml
- 1 x bottle Pen & Strep Suspension 100 ml
- 1 x tub ACP 10 mg 500 tablets
- 1 x bottle Baytril 10% Oral Solution 1000 ml
The majority of these products are Prescription Only Medicines (POM-V), including euthanasia products and antibiotics, for food producing and companion animals. All are either UK authorised or held a valid import license.
These products had been stored in a way that affected their safety, quality or efficacy and included a significant number of expired veterinary medicines, ranging from 2002 to 2023.
