Abstract

The United Nations바카라 사이트™ Agenda 2030 aims to achieve gender equality as part of the 5th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Yet, the way to reach this goal remains under-researched 바카라 사이트“ particularly in rural, conflict-affected communities in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This paper uses the donor-funded, community-driven reconstruction programme 바카라 사이트˜Tuungane바카라 사이트™ as the foundation on which to analyse changes in gender norms in the context of a 바카라 사이트˜hybrid social order바카라 사이트™, defined as the interplay between 바카라 사이트˜modern바카라 사이트™ norms (state and non-governmental institutions); religious (church institutions) and traditional (institutions based on customary law).
