Abstract

This presentation describes LEAP, a group of scientists and institutions in Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya, whose objectives are to evaluate, validate and register improved treatment options for visceral leishmaniasis (VL), and to strengthen capacity for treatment, evaluation and clinical research, in the region. It describes needs, opportunities, and LEAP's activities, opportunities and future plans.
