Assignment Report: DFID Bilateral Aid Review (BAR) in Health: How to estimate the costs and results of health related activities
Abstract
This note is intended to assist country offices in preparing the health components of their funding proposals.
The 5 step process involves:
(1)Â Â Â Identifying need and setting the context.
(2)Â Â Â Defining the offer: what interventions are you proposing?
(3)Â Â Â Identifying the results - develop the results chain and identify what results might be expected from the inputs proposed.
(4)Â Â Â Identifying the costs.
(5)Â Â Â Assess value for money and the evidence that the interventions and results proposed are credible and measureable.
