1. Overview

It costs 拢94.50 to renew or replace your passport if you apply online or 拢107 if you fill in a paper form.

You must be aged 16 or over (or turning 16 in the next 3 weeks) to get an adult passport. There바카라 사이트檚 a different process to get a passport for a child.

There are different ways to renew or replace your passport if you바카라 사이트檙e outside the UK.

How long it takes

Do not book travel until you have a valid passport - your new passport will not have the same number as your old one.

Tracking your passport application

You can track your passport application using your application reference number.

Getting your new passport

Your new passport will be sent to you by courier or Royal Mail. They바카라 사이트檒l either:

  • post it through your letterbox
  • hand it to you if you바카라 사이트檙e home
  • leave a card or post you a letter saying how you can get it (it will not say the package is your passport)

2. Renew

You must renew your passport before you can travel if either:

  • your passport has expired
  • you do not have enough time left on it

There are different rules if your passport is lost, stolen or damaged or you need to change your name or personal details.

Renew using a paper application form

Unexpired visas

Send your previous passport with the visa attached to it with your application. Your previous passport will be returned to you.

You바카라 사이트檒l be able to use the visa if you carry both passports.

The rules are different if you바카라 사이트檙e travelling to Russia.

3. Replace a lost, stolen or damaged passport

If your passport has been lost or stolen, you must cancel it before applying for a replacement.

If your passport is damaged you must replace it. You may not be able to travel with it.

HM Passport Office will consider your passport damaged if:

  • you cannot read any of your details
  • any of the pages are ripped, cut or missing
  • there are holes, cuts or rips in the cover
  • the cover is coming away
  • there are stains on the pages (for example, ink or water damage)
