Homes for Ukraine: record your interest

If you want to offer a home to people fleeing Ukraine, you can register your interest in taking part in the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

You can offer a home to someone:

  • applying to come to the UK (you would be their 바카라 사이트˜sponsor바카라 사이트™)
  • already living in the UK (you would be their 바카라 사이트˜host바카라 사이트™)

This service is for potential sponsors or hosts in the UK who have not yet been matched with a Ukrainian guest.

Who can record their interest

Anyone in the UK who has not been matched with a Ukrainian person or family can use this service, as long as:

  • you can offer a spare room or home for at least 6 months
  • you바카라 사이트™re over the age of 18

To sponsor someone applying for a visa, you must also be one of the following on the date of your guest바카라 사이트™s visa application:

  • a British citizen
  • an Irish citizen
  • settled in the UK (known as having 바카라 사이트˜indefinite leave to remain바카라 사이트™)

What you바카라 사이트™ll get

During your guest바카라 사이트™s stay with you, you바카라 사이트™ll be eligible for £350 a month for the duration of their Homes for Ukraine visa permission.

You will not be paid if you already have or you form a close family relationship with your guest.

How long guests can stay

Ukrainian guests can stay in the UK for:

  • up to 36 months, if they submitted an application before 3pm on 19 February 2024
  • up to 18 months, if they submitted an application after 3pm on 19 February 2024

If you already know who you want to sponsor

You do not need to record your interest if you already know who you want to sponsor.

You can help them apply for a visa under the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme instead.

What happens next

Your details will be shared with your local council. They may contact you if someone:

  • in your area needs a host
  • is arriving in your area and needs a sponsor

Contact one of the following organisations to be matched with a Ukrainian person more quickly:

Once you have been matched, your local council will:

  • carry out disclosure and barring service (DBS) checks
  • visit your property to check it meets the required standards

Before you can sponsor someone you바카라 사이트™ve been matched with, the Home Office will do security and criminal checks on you. They will also check all adults aged 18 and over who will live in the same household as the guest. Not all convictions, cautions or warnings will mean you are unsuitable to be a sponsor.

Withdrawing your interest

If you want to withdraw your interest, you do not need to do anything now. You can tell your local council or chosen organisation that you want to withdraw when they contact you.
