Question

SOLAS Ch. II.2, Reg.5, 3.1.1 mentions that adhesives used in conjunction with insulation shall have low flame-spread characteristics.

According to the International Code for Application of Fire Test Procedures 2010 (2010 FTP Code), annex 1, Part 3, chapter 3.5.1.1 and MSC/Circ.1120 (SOLAS Ch. II-2 Part A, 3.10), adhesives used in the construction of 바카라 사이트淎바카라 사이트�, 바카라 사이트淏바카라 사이트� and 바카라 사이트淐바카라 사이트� class divisions shall have low-flame spread characteristics.

Testing according to the 2010 FTP Code, Part 2 (Smoke and toxicity test) is not mentioned for adhesives (Ref. SOLAS Ch. II-2, Reg. 6).

Which testing is required for the approval of adhesives in 바카라 사이트淎바카라 사이트�, 바카라 사이트淏바카라 사이트� & 바카라 사이트淐바카라 사이트� class divisions?

Recommendation

Adhesives used in the construction of 바카라 사이트淎바카라 사이트�, 바카라 사이트淏바카라 사이트� and 바카라 사이트淐바카라 사이트� class divisions (not as surface materials) shall satisfy the requirement of the 2010 FTP Code, Part 5 (Test for surface flammability).

Testing according to the 2010 FTP Code, Part 2 (Smoke and toxicity test) is not required in this case.바카라 사이트�
