TCM1000480 - How to calculate the potential effective date of a claim

Step 1

Note: In all claims the computer will automatically calculate the effective date of a claim. This guidance is to help you to calculate the potential effective date of pending awards.

Note: For tax credit claims received before 06-04-2012 the correct effective date will be either the earliest of the dates noted or the date 93 days prior to the date the claim was received. For tax credit claims received on or after 06-04-2012 the correct effective date will be either the earliest of the dates noted or the date 31 days prior to the date the claim was received.

  • on the 바카라 사이트˜Application Summary바카라 사이트™ screen, find the 바카라 사이트˜Date Received바카라 사이트™
  • calculate and make a note of the date, which is 93 days before the 바카라 사이트˜Date Received바카라 사이트™ if the claim was received before 06-04-2012.
  • calculate and make a note of the date, which is 31 days before the 바카라 사이트˜Date Received바카라 사이트™ if the claim was received on or after 06-04-2012.

If there are any previous awards

  • make a note of the date, of the day after the previous award ended
  • go to Step 2.

If there are not any previous awards, go to Step 2.

Step 2

In function 바카라 사이트˜View Application바카라 사이트™, check through the screens to see what is being claimed for.

If the claim is for WTC only (no children), go to Step 3.

If the claim is for CTC only (no work details), go to Step 4.

If the claim is for WTC and CTC, go to Step 4.

Check the 바카라 사이트˜Applicant 1 Work바카라 사이트™ and 바카라 사이트˜Applicant 2 Work바카라 사이트™ screens for a 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™ in the 바카라 사이트˜Employment details바카라 사이트™ box.

If there is not a 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™ in the 바카라 사이트˜Employment Details바카라 사이트™ box, the effective date of the claim is the 바카라 사이트˜Date Received바카라 사이트™ shown on the 바카라 사이트˜Award Summary바카라 사이트™ screen.

If there is a 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™ in the 바카라 사이트˜Employment Details바카라 사이트™ box

  • make a note of the 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™
  • go to Step 4.

Step 4

Check the 바카라 사이트˜Income바카라 사이트™ screen for any 바카라 사이트˜CTC qualifying benefits바카라 사이트™.

If there are any benefits shown, the effective date of the claim is the 바카라 사이트˜Date Received바카라 사이트™ shown on the 바카라 사이트˜Award Summary바카라 사이트™ screen.

If there are no benefits shown, go to Step 5.

If the claim is for CTC only, go to Step 7.

If the claim is for WTC only, go to Step 6.

If the claim is for CTC and WTC, go to Step 6.

If there is a 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™ in the 바카라 사이트˜Employment Details바카라 사이트™ box

  • make a note of the 바카라 사이트˜Start Date바카라 사이트™
  • go to Step 9.
