Dissolution of the IMC and IICD

We have previously announced that the work of the Independent Monitoring Commission (IMC) and Independent International Commission on Decommissioning (IICD) has been nearing completion. We have agreed with the IMC and IICD that the time is now right to bring the Commissions to a close and the necessary arrangements have been put in place to wind down both Commissions. They will be dissolved on 31 March. 聽

As requested by the UK and Irish 바카라 사이트s, the IMC and IICD have provided both 바카라 사이트s with reports on each Commission바카라 사이트檚 experience and lessons learned.

Due to the pre-election period, the reports will be published after the Assembly elections in May on a date to be agreed by both 바카라 사이트s.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the IMC and IICD Commissioners and Commission staff who have played a crucial part in supporting and enabling historic changes over the years, assisting in Northern Ireland바카라 사이트檚 transition to a peaceful, stable and inclusive society.
