DVS advise on infrastructure schemes delivered through the use of compulsory purchase powers. Current clients include National Highways, HS2 Ltd, Welsh Assembly 바카라 사이트, Transport Scotland, plus a number of local authorities.

We are the UK바카라 사이트™s recognised experts on Compulsory Purchase and Compensation matters having experience of acquisition using Compulsory Purchase Orders, Development Consent Orders, Transport and Works Act Orders, the Highways Act and Hybrid Bills.

We have significant experience in providing advice at all stages of a scheme.  We are strong advocates of early involvement in scheme development and believe that involving our compulsory purchase experts at the planning stage of a project can help ensure cost effective route selection and significantly reduce the risk of cost overruns.

We specialise in compensation modelling, negotiations for land acquisitions with or without powers, and, following scheme completion, handling of Part 1 compensation claims, disposal of surplus property, and ongoing asset management issues.

We are experienced in the role of Expert Witness at CPO Inquiries and DCO Examinations, Upper Tribunal (Land Chamber) and Alternative Dispute Resolution hearings. We hold an unrivalled property database that allows us to report authoritatively on market and land price changes before and after new infrastructure is put in place.

We also produce and publish the Land Compensation Manual, a technical manual that covers all aspects of compulsory purchase and compensation.
