Preventing sexual violence initiative: shaping principles for global action to prevent and tackle stigma

This report follows a 3-day expert roundtable meeting convened by the government to inform the next phase of the UK바카라 사이트™s Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI) on tackling and preventing stigma suffered by survivors and victims of sexual violence in conflict.

The meeting brought together survivors, victims, experts, civil society and officials to discuss the challenges and issues around the stigma that many survivors and victims of sexual violence in conflict face.

The UK Prime Minister바카라 사이트™s Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, the Rt Hon Baroness Anelay, opened the meeting and reiterated the UK government바카라 사이트™s leadership and commitment to ending sexual violence in conflict (SVC).

The overarching aim of the meeting was to contribute to the development of principles and recommendations to tackle and prevent such stigma, for inclusion in a Global Action document (바카라 사이트˜Principles for Global Action바카라 사이트™). The final document will be used to mobilise increased political will and resources to prevent and tackle SVC-related stigma, including a launch at the United Nations in 2017.
