Notice of Monetary Penalty - City & Guilds

1. Notice
In accordance with its powers under Section 151A(2) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (바카라 사이트the Act바카라 사이트), and pursuant to its obligations under Section 151A(4) and 151A(5) of the Act, the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (바카라 사이트Ofqual바카라 사이트) gives notice that it has imposed a Monetary Penalty in the sum of £50,000 on The City and Guilds of London Institute (바카라 사이트City & Guilds바카라 사이트) for the reasons set out below.
On 27 May 2021, a 바카라 사이트Notice of Intention to accept a Settlement Proposal from City & Guilds to pay a Monetary Penalty바카라 사이트 was issued to City & Guilds.
The Notice stated that the amount of the Monetary Penalty shall be £50,000.
Interested parties were given the opportunity to make representations in respect of Ofqual바카라 사이트s proposal. No representations were received.
2. Final Decision
For the reasons set out in the 바카라 사이트Notice of Intention to accept a Settlement Proposal from City & Guilds to pay a Monetary Penalty바카라 사이트 dated 27 May 2021, the Enforcement Committee has decided that City & Guilds will be required to pay a Monetary Penalty in the sum of £50,000.
3. Payment
City & Guilds must pay the Monetary Penalty within 28 days of the date of this Notice, in accordance with the Payment Instructions provided with this Notice.
In the event of non-payment, interest may be charged and the outstanding amount may be recovered as a debt, in accordance with section 151D of the Act.
4. Appeals
City & Guilds may appeal to the First Tier Tribunal in respect of Ofqual바카라 사이트s decision to impose the Monetary Penalty and / or in respect of the amount of that penalty, in accordance with section 151C of the Act.
An appeal may be made on the grounds:
- That the decision was based on an error of fact#
- That the decision was wrong in law
- That the decision was unreasonable.
Any appeal must be made within 28 days of the date of this Notice. Further information is available from HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
