In October 2023, the Home Office launched an independent review into disclosure and fraud offences (the 바카라 사이트Review바카라 사이트). The Review, chaired by Jonathan Fisher KC, forms part of the published by the previous government in May 2023.
The Review will report in 2 parts. Part 1 (to be published in due course) will address the criminal disclosure regime as set out in the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (the 바카라 사이트CPIA바카라 사이트). There will be a focus on cases which involve a large volume of digital material. The Attorney General바카라 사이트s Guidelines on Disclosure will also be assessed, and consideration given to legislative and non-legislative modifications that could improve the regime. This part of the Review will not be limited to fraud offences. Part 2 is due to focus on fraud offences, including whether the offences as currently defined capture modern fraud offending.
In March 2024, JUSTICE hosted 4 roundtable events in connection with the Review.
