Susan Geary
Biography
Susan Geary took up her role as Consul General and Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Athens in September 2021.
A career diplomat with wide ranging experience, Susan바카라 사이트™s previous overseas postings have included Kosovo, UKDEL NATO and Afghanistan. Her role in the FCDO before Athens was as Deputy Head of Central and Southern Africa Department, covering a network of 16 British embassies and high commissions.
Susan joined the FCO in 1998.

The Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas Embassy or High Commission. They will represent the UK바카라 사이트™s interests in the absence of the Ambassador as ChargĂ© d바카라 사이트™Affaires. A senior ranking Deputy may also take the title Minister. Smaller missions may not have a Deputy Head.
