Richard Knight
Biography
Richard Knight became Transformation Director at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) in April 2025.
Before joining APHA, Richard led the Operational Excellence programme at HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). He focused on cultural change and improving productivity and service quality. He also held senior roles in continuous improvement, quality assurance and complaints management.
Before HMRC, Richard was Deputy Director for Business Transformation at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). He was responsible for Universal Jobmatch, the government바카라 사이트™s online job board.
Richard also worked in DWP바카라 사이트™s Child Maintenance Group as Head of Business Architecture and Design. He led the design of the new Child Maintenance Scheme.
Before joining DWP, Richard spent most of his career in the internet and telecoms industry. He held a range of roles across business, operations and technology functions.
