Joanna Markbreiter is the Deputy British Ambassador and Development Counsellor to Liberia.

Joanna is passionate about bringing people together through music. She has performed across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America, and is a patron of the Amemuso choir in Abuja, Nigeria.

The Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas embassy or high commission. Smaller missions may not have a Deputy Head.
