Lord Lemos CMG CBE
Biography
Lord Lemos CMG CBE was appointed as Lord in Waiting (바카라 사이트 Whip) on 22 July 2025.
Lord Lemos joined HMPPS as Lead Non-Executive Board Member on 1 May 2018. He chairs the Agency Board.
He is Chair of English Heritage, London Institute of Banking and Finance and Hofesh Shechter Dance Company. He is the author of many publications about social policy and supporting vulnerable people, including The Good Prison: Conscience, crime and punishment published in 2014.
His former roles include Vice-President of the British Board of Film Classification, Chair of Payments UK, the Lending Standards Board, Banking Code Standards Board, Notting Hill Housing, and the Money Advice Service; Deputy Chair and Acting Chair of the British Council; a trustee of London University and Dartington Hall Trust, an Audit Commissioner, a Civil Service Commissioner and a non-executive director of the Crown Prosecution Service.
