Record number of civil servants attend Parliament Week events

This year's programme attracts biggest number of participants to date.

UK Parliament Week is an annual event to spread the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how to get involved. 

The Parliamentary Capability team have organised a special programme to mark it every year for the last 7 years.

Why Parliament matters to civil servants

Reaching a wider audience

Daniel and his team offer parliamentary courses all year round but he says  UK Parliament Week is a chance for us to reach civil servants who might not otherwise sign up to one of its regular courses.

Highlights of the week

This year, the team created sessions that included a look at the role of the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel, the untold story of Parliament바카라 사이트s 바카라 사이트Necessary Women바카라 사이트, and one about the work of the Public Accounts Committee.

At one event, team members Petros Chasanakos and Valentina Tomassetti were even called upon to step in to facilitate a session when one of the key speakers was unable to attend.

They are pictured above as they  joined the Leader of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Lucy Powell MP, and the Leader of the House of Lords, Rt Hon Baroness Smith of Basildon, as they discussed their roles in government and Parliament and the importance of Parliament to civil servants.
