Professor Alan Manning has been appointed by the Home Secretary as the new chair of the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC).
Professor Manning has been a MAC committee member since March 2015 and replaces former chair Professor Sir David Metcalf, whose term of office has come to an end.

Professor Manning is a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) and is director of the Centre for Economic Performance바카라 사이트™s research programme on community.
His expertise is on labour markets, including but not confined to the impact of migration.
