Medworth Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power Facility development consent decision announced
The Medworth Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power Facility application has been granted development consent by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.

The project proposes an Energy from Waste combined heat and power facility with a maximum gross capacity of 58MWÂ
The application was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for consideration by Medworth CHP Limited on 07 July 2022 and accepted for Examination on 02 August 2022.Â
Following an Examination during which the public, Statutory바카라 사이트¯ Consultees and Interested Parties were given the opportunity to give evidence to the Examining Authority, recommendations were made to the Secretary of State on 21 November 2023.바카라 사이트¯Â
This is the 132nd Nationally바카라 사이트¯Significant Infrastructure Project and 78th energy application to have been examined by The Planning Inspectorate within the timescales laid down in the Planning Act 2008.바카라 사이트¯Â

Local communities continue to be given the opportunity of being involved in the examination of projects that may affect them. Local people, the local authority and other Interested Parties were able to participate in this six-month Examination.Â
The Examining Authority listened and gave full consideration to all local views바카라 사이트¯and the evidence gathered during the Examination before making its recommendation to the Secretary of State.Â
