The Acting Governor has recognised the supreme efforts made by participants in the Standard Chartered Bank-sponsored Falkland Islands marathon which took place on Sunday.
During a reception held in honour of the runners, John Duncan paid tribute to the determination and endurance they had shown during the 26-mile race which took place in gale force winds: 바카라 사이트淪unday really showed what it meant to achieve. The marathon was won by Stanley teacher Tim Drew in a time of 2 hours 54 minutes. First woman across the finish line was Falkland Islander Teslyn Barkman.
