The Acting Governor has recognised the supreme efforts made by participants in the Standard Chartered Bank-sponsored Falkland Islands marathon which took place on Sunday.

The marathon was won by Stanley teacher Tim Drew in a time of 2 hours 54 minutes. First woman across the finish line was Falkland Islander Teslyn Barkman.
