Mr Paul Brummell has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Romania
Paul Brummell
He will succeed Mr Martin Harris OBE, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Brummell will take up his appointment during August 2014.
Mr Brummell joined the FCO in 1987 and is currently High Commissioner to Barbados and the eastern Caribbean. He is concurrently UK representative to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and Consul-General to the Dutch Caribbean.
His FCO career has covered a wide range of roles including those of Her Majesty바카라 사이트s Ambassador to Turkmenistan and to Kazakhstan (and concurrently non-resident Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan).
On his appointment as Her Majesty바카라 사이트s Ambassador to Romania, Mr Brummell has said:
I am honoured and delighted to be appointed as British Ambassador to Romania. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with Romania, a key partner within the EU and NATO, with whom we have such important shared objectives. I look forward to helping to strengthen our already close relations in my new role next year.
