Ms Alexandra Hall Hall has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Georgia

She will succeed Ms Judith Gough who has transferred to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Ms Hall Hall will take up her appointment during July 2013.
Ms Hall Hall joined the FCO in 1986 and most recently was Deputy Head of Mission in Bogota. She has worked on a wide range of issues in the Foreign Office, including South and South East Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, UN Humanitarian Affairs, Policy Planning Department, two years on secondment to the Cabinet Office, and two years as Head of Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance Department. Previous overseas postings include Bangkok, Washington, and New Delhi, as well as a two year secondment to the US State Department.
