68 outstanding Indonesians and Timorese awarded Chevening Scholarships 2016/2017

British Ambassador to Indonesia, ASEAN and Timor-Leste, Moazzam Malik, congratulates 68 outstanding Indonesians and Timorese who will shortly depart for the UK to study under the UK 바카라 사이트 funded Chevening Scholarship programme.
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with high levels of leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers comprehensive financial support to study for a one-year master바카라 사이트™s degree at any UK university and the opportunity to become part of an influential global network of 46,000 alumni.
Speaking ahead of the event, hosted at the British Embassy on 1 September 2016, British Ambassador Moazzam Malik has said:
The UK is home to many of the world바카라 사이트™s best universities. The Chevening programme enables you to develop academically, professionally, and personally whilst studying in the UK.
Those who are selected for a Chevening Scholarship become recognised leaders in their fields, joining a global network of influencers.
They share the best their country has to offer with those they meet in the UK, and bring the best the UK has to offer back home. The role of Chevening Scholars is important in building bridges, understanding and partnership between our countries.
Also attending the award ceremony will be a number of co-sponsors, as well as alumni from throughout the Chevening programme바카라 사이트™s 34 year history.
Applications for 2017 Scholarships opened on 8 August 2016 and will close on 8 November 2016.
