The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) will not go ahead with the proposed amendments in April 2015. Instead, the proposals on changes to the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Regulations testing regime will be considered as part of the full review of the regulations which was already underway.

Proposed changes to the UK's furniture flammability laws to improve safety, make UK furniture greener and bring savings to industry.

Consultation description

The set levels of fire resistance for domestic upholstered furniture, furnishings and other products containing upholstery.

This consultation sets out the government바카라 사이트檚 intention to change the specification for the match test and the requirements for the cigarette test (both for covering fabrics) in the regulations.
