Detail of outcome

In March 2015 the 바카라 사이트 issued a consultation on non-domestic Smart Metering policy, covering the advanced metering exception and the DCC opt-out. The consultation closed on 15 June 2015, and in total 25 responses were received on the DCC opt-out (Part A) and 23 responses on the questions relating to advanced metering (Part B) . Two documents have been issued in response to this consultation.

The 바카라 사이트 response to Part A of the consultation sets out the minded-to position to remove the DCC opt-out subject to a further consultation to provide additional evidence. The further consultation is being published at the same time as the 바카라 사이트 response.

The response to Part B (advanced metering) was published on 17th December 2015. The 바카라 사이트 response sets out the decision to extend the period in which suppliers may install advanced meters at non-domestic sites, from April 2016 to:

바카라 사이트 17 August 2017 for small suppliers.

Consultation description

This consultation seeks views on two issues relating to the roll-out of smart and advanced meters to the non-domestic sector.

First, it seeks views on the existing policy position which allows suppliers to use communications services other than those provided by the Data and Communications Company (DCC) for any SMETS2 meters they install at non-domestic premises. The 바카라 사이트 is seeking views on whether to remove this policy.

Second, it seeks views on the 바카라 사이트바카라 사이트s policy position that there should be no extension beyond April 2016 of non-domestic suppliers바카라 사이트 current option to install advanced meters to meet their roll-out obligations.
