Armed Forces Compensation Scheme statistics: index
Statistics on compensation recipients and new claims, awards and appeals made under the Armed Forces and Reserve Forces Compensation Scheme.
Removal of Iraq and Afghanistan information
From July 2025, the AFCS statistic will no longer include information relating to AFCS awards to those deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan. As we move further away from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts is it increasingly unlikely that claims made by this cohort are a result of their deployment.
Table 12 removal
From July 2025, Table 12 will be removed from the AFCS statistic due to the risk of interpretation that tariff levels are awarded at claim level rather than at condition level.
Due to the removal of this table, Table 13 (All injuries/illnesses awarded under the AFCS at tariff levels 1-15 based on the latest outcome, by tariff of injury table, tariff level and financial year) will now become Table 12.
Removal of location information in Table 13
Due to the removal of Table 12, Table 14 (Injury/illness claims awarded based on the latest claim outcome, by demographic and financial year) will now become Table 13.
From July 2025, location information within Table 13 of the AFCS statistic will be removed due to the risk of interpretation that the location refers to when an individual registered the claim, rather than the latest location recorded on the AFCS data system (Compensation and Pensions System (CAPS)).
Addition of location information in Table 14
Due to the cessation of the 바카라 사이트Location of UK armed forces pension and compensation recipients바카라 사이트 accredited official statistic, a new table will be added to the annual AFCS statistics from 2025 showing AFCS recipient location information at Local Authority and Regional Level.
This expansion will ensure the MOD continues to provide the level of information required to those that provide services to veterans who may need additional support. This information will feature in the 2025 AFCS statistic in the new Table 14.
This annual bulletin provides summary statistics on claims and awards made under the Armed Forces and Reserve Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS). The AFCS is a no-fault scheme, which financially compensates for injury/illness and death caused by service in the UK Armed Forces on or after 6 April 2005.
Note that revisions have been made to historical clearance times statistics and therefore figures in the 2018/19 Statistical Bulletin supersedes all previously published statistics.
