Areas where FCDO advises against all but essential travel聽聽

Colombia-Venezuela border and northern Colombia聽

FCDO advises against all but essential travel to:聽

  • all of Norte de Santander Department, including C煤cuta.
  • all of Arauca Department, except for the department capital, Arauca聽聽
  • the municipality of Puerto Carre帽o in Vichada Department, except for the department capital, Puerto Carre帽o聽
  • within 5km of the rest of the border with Venezuela.

FCDO바카라 사이트痗urrently advises against all travel to Venezuela바카라 사이트檚 border regions with Colombia. You should not use any of the Colombia-Venezuela land crossings.聽

Pacific coast and Colombia-Panama border

FCDO advises against all but essential travel to:聽

  • Choc贸 Department, except for the department capital Quibd贸, the whale-watching towns of Nuqu铆 and Bah铆a Solano and the tourist site of Capurgan谩聽
  • the western part of Valle del Cauca Department, including Buenaventura 聽
  • the western part of Cauca Department
  • the South Pacific, Sanquianga and Telembi regions of Nari帽o Department
  • the southern part of C贸rdoba Department
  • the Urab谩 and Bajo Cauca regions of Antioquia Department
  • the southern part of Bol铆var Department

Central Colombia聽

FCDO advises against all but essential travel to:聽

  • all of Guaviare Department, except for the department capital San Jos茅 del Guaviare聽
  • Cartagena del Chair谩, San Vicente del Caguan, Puerto Rico, El Doncello, Paujil and La Monta帽ita in Caquet谩 Department聽
  • the Ariari region of southern Meta, except for Ca帽o Cristales聽

If travelling to the tourist site of Ca帽o Cristales, travel by air from the town of La Macarena with a reputable tour company.聽

Colombia-Ecuador border and southern Colombia聽

FCDO advises against all but essential travel to within 5km of the border with Ecuador except for:聽

  • the border crossing on the Pan-American highway at the Puente Internacional de Rumichaca聽聽
  • the city of Ipiales in Nari帽o Department聽

FCDO advises against all but essential travel to Orito, San Miguel, Valle del Guamuez, Puerto Caicedo, Puerto Guzm谩n, Puerto Asis and Puerto Leguizamo in Putumayo Department.聽

Earthquake in the Kamchatka Peninsular Region

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.8 has struck the eastern coast of Russia in the Kamchatka Peninsula region. A tsunami threat message has been issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.
